How Iknum works

Iknum is a community-orientated search engine where registered users can rate and vote on the quality of our search results. By default, registered users can only vote up/down. For rating, the user will have to select "(Y)es" to the question "Will you be rating content ?" on the User registeration form.

Rating Content

All registered users who have selected to rate content are assigned a number to rank from. This number represents the highest rank they can assign to any given document in our search results, a higher value being indicative of a high quality document. They can assign any number between 1 and this number.

Voting on Content

All registered users can vote on quality of our search results. An Up vote signifies a high quality document and Down vote signifies a poor quality document. Users can vote only once on any given document.

Rewards

Iknum uses it's proprietary technology to determine the intrinsic quality of a document. Users who have assigned higher ranks to documents considered to be high quality by Iknum may be eligible for cash rewards. Besides the cash rewards, users may also be assigned a higher number to rank from.

Please note that assigning higher ranks to obviously low quality documents will result in your credibility erosion and Iknum will at a minimum lower the highest rank you can assign to documents or disable your account. Furthermore, giving an Up vote to obviously poor quality documents and/or giving a Down vote to obviously high quality documents may result in your account being disabled.
